The Course Catalog lists all approved high school courses for Howard County Schools for the 2009-10 school year. Due to enrollment and staffing differences at
each high school, course selections vary from school to school. For specific details
on courses offered at Hammond High School, please contact Ms. Jane Mooney, Hammond High School Director of Guidance, at 410-313-7620.

The SAT and ACT dates for this year
are now available. Hammond will be
hosting the SAT for the 2009-2010 school year on the following dates:
     •October 10, 2009
     •December 5, 2009
     •March 13, 2010
     •May 1, 2010

Parent/Teacher Conferences
The procedure for setting up a group conference with all of your child's teachers, through the Guidance Office is as follows:
     •Please call the guidance office and speak with your student's guidance
        counselor.
     •Conferences are normally scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and         begin promptly at 2:10 PM
     •All teachers are invited to attend a conference. To schedule an individual         parent/teacher conference please contact the teacher.

New! Summer Program Opportunities The following opportunities for summer programs are available in the Counseling Center.

     •Howard University School of Business - Center for Insurance Education is offering a 3-week summer enrichment program. The program will strengthen
math, statistics
, and computer skills of minority high school juniors and introduce

     •Maryland Writers’ Workshop for Students: Tuesday, July 6, 2010 through
Friday, July 23
