MORP ("prom" spelled backwards) is the last dance before senior prom. Dress is casual.

SENIOR PROM
@ Valley Mansion in Hunt Valley
May 3: 8:00pm - 12:00 midnite
      •Prom Prices: If you are a senior and have paid your class dues for:
             4 years - ticket price - $45.00
             3 years - ticket price - $55.00
             2 years - ticket price - $60.00
             
If you have not paid any senior dues, your ticket price is $65.00.
      •Prom tickets can be purchased April 16-23 during all lunch shifts. Prom ticket          prices does not include "AfterProm". If you have any additional questions,

AFTER PROM PARTY
@ United Artist Theatre at Snowden River
May 4: 12:30am - 5:00am
      •Tickets: $15.00 Which includes EVERYTHING.
         (You do not have to attend the Prom in order to attend the After Prom Party)         •Attire: Casual or formal, either way, the choice is yours
      •Prizes: IPODS, Computers, Digital Cameras, Gift Certificates, Etc…
         A $500 Cash prize for the lucky Senior and $250 Cash prize to the lucky Junior          whose names are picked at 5:00am.
         You must be present in order to win ANY of the prizes that are given away all          night long.

Rules of the Game:
         1. You must arrive by 1am with your ticket and school ID.
         2. You may not use or possess any illegal substance, including alcohol, prior to               your arrival or during the party.
         3. All bags are subject to search.
         4. Once you leave, you will NOT be readmitted.
         5. You must follow the instructions of the chaperones at all times.

BALFOUR ASSEMBLY @ Hammond HS Auditorium

Balfour representatives will present information on cap and gowns and distribute packets. All seniors should attend this informative assembly.

GRADUATION TICKETS

All graduates must apply for graduation tickets on the form that will be provided. Up to eight (8) tickets will be given to each graduate for family and friends for the 2008 Commencement Exercises. Graduates will be able to request up to eight (8)
extra tickets. Tickets will not be given to graduates that have financial obligations. Stay tuned to eSchoolNewsletter and this space for more ticketing information and
the dates that tickets can begin being ordered.

New! GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
Graduation announcements were distributed on April 29. Seniors who were
absent that day or did not pick up their announcements will have their graduation announcements delivered to them.

STUDENT OBLIGATIONS
This is an important announcement from the Finance Office.
All students that
have financial obligations mus
t report to the Financial Office to pay their obligations. Students with unpaid financial obligations will not be allowed to participate in non-athletic extracurricular activities (ie: dances, senior picnic, junior/senior prom). This means that students who have unpaid obligations will
not be allowed to attend the prom, the senior picnic, or any other student activities. Seniors with unpaid obligations will not be able to obtain graduation tickets.
Students can check with Ms. Loschiavo in the Finance Office to take care of any obligations they may have. If you have any questions, please contact Ms.
Loschiavo at 410-313-7615.

to order caps, gowns, and announcements. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Lee Ann Beall-Read in her classroom.

YEARBOOKS
Yearbook
packages will go out immediately after mid-terms. Information in these packets include where to purchase yearbooks through Jostens, an advertising form,
a senior superlative ballot, and senior statement forms. Our new full-color yearbook
can be purchased through Jostens until April 14. To order a yearbook, parents can
call 1-800-282-1516 or go to www.jostensyearbook.com. Ads, senior superlatives,
and senior statements are due to Ms. O'Connor on March 3.


Senior Pictures for the yearbook are due to Ms. O'Connor on February 1.
IMPORTANT: If you had your seniors pictures taken by a studio other than
Lifetouch Photography, you will need to have those photographs to Ms. O'Connor by February 1.
There will also be a $10 fee for placement of photos taken by any
studio other than Lifetouch Photography. If your senior pictures were taken at
Hammond High School by Lifetouch Photography, you do not need to do anything
and there are no fees for placement in the yearbook.

SENIOR FAIL LETTERS
Senior fail letters will be mailed soon after mid-term examinations. Counselors
will conference with students before mailing these letters to you. Please talk to your students about their grades and call the Guidance Office if you wish a group
teacher conference.


SENIOR NAMES ON DIPLOMAS

All seniors are asked to verify that Hammond High has the official spelling of
their full name.
This must be verified in order for the diploma to be correct. Please stop in to Guidance to see Ms. McQueen and check to make sure your name is
spelled correctly.

SENIORS - SCHOLARSHIPS
Seniors and their parents may obtain the "Scholarship Update" in the Guidance Office.
It lists all the current scholarships and the deadlines for applications. Most scholarship applications are now available on line. Make sure to read the
Scholarship Update for the web address in order to access the application. Applications available in Guidance will be noted in the scholarship description.
