Hammond High School Mission Statement: T
he mission of Hammond High
School is to help prepare students for a responsible, productive, and meaningful lifetime of learning in a multi-cultural and rapidly changing society.

Hammond High School Vision Statement: Hammond High School will become a school where every man, woman and child who enters its doors will be able to prosper.

Hammond High School Motto: Hammond high School - Where People Are Important!

PTSA: The Hammond PTSA, under the direction of president Sally Frekot, is a volunteer group of community members who help the school in many ways. Be sure to look for their monthly newsletter toward the end of each month. If you have information you would like to share with the PTSA in the newsletter, please email
Ms. Melanie Klem.

Boosters: This group of community members is the chief fundraising arm of the school. As Hammond consolidates its fundraising efforts, we look to the Boosters for leadership. Through the combined efforts of students, teachers, and the Boosters, the group meets the monetary needs of the school. The first fundraiser of the school year begins the day after Labor Day: Sally Foster Gift Wrap. This annual fundraiser is a favorite in the Hammond community. Like last year, people who wish to target their purchase proceeds toward a specific group can designate that group on their envelope. Of all the profits, 25% will go directly to that group, with the remaining going toward the general fund.

Community: Many of Hammond High School’s student population comes from the Kings Contrivance Village. The Kings Contrivance Village Center assists school groups in fundraising and reaching service hour goals. Please patronize our local merchants dedicated to helping Hammond.

Alumni: The Hammond Class of 1988 is having a class reunion! For more information, see the Class of 1988 Reunion website.
If you would like to participate in a survey as to whether you would be willing to attend a multi-class reunion, go to to the Multi Class Alumni Website.
